The collection will feature 40 pieces for men, women and children including jackets, skirts, shirts, knits and jeans. Helena Helmersson, H&M’s Head of Sustainability, told Yahoo! that “We’ve worked hard to reduce the environmental impact from the washing processes alongside using materials that are more sustainable. The collection is full of great pieces, and proves how sustainability can equal great style.” The collection is reasonably priced at under $50, except for the wool coats, which range from $79.95 to $99.

Victoria’s Secret Model, Miranda Kerr, Named the New Face of H&M

4 February, 2014 All, Top News 392 comments

Girl crush much? The gorgeous, stunning Miranda Kerr has been named the new face of H&M for their Spring/Summer 2014 campaign. They revealed the news on H&M’s Twitter posting a picture of Kerr with her face mostly covered up stating they would soon reveal the new face of H&M. A few hours later, they posted a full picture revealing Kerr. Then they took to Instagram and posted again on their profile a short video in which Kerr herself states, “Hi H&M followers, I’m Miranda Kerr and I’m the new face of H&M spring campaign. Stayed tuned for more.”

Previously having worked for Mango, Kerr is no newbie to being the face of a massive company. The sweet Aussie, who split from Orlando Bloom a few months ago, has been busy shooting for the campaign for a couple of months which means we cannot wait to see the official campaign pictures, rumored to be released in March. Either way, the hottie seems to be doing pretty well solo.

Maybe I’ll Instagram her as my #WomanCrushWednesday for tomorrow…..

More Brands Banning Angora Production

17 December, 2013 All, Fashion, Updates 285 comments

Angora production has become quite the controversial matter in the fashion world. This video (warning: the video has images viewers may find distressing) sparked an immense amount of talk due to the fact that they are pulling the fur from live animals. Many companies are pulling their angora made products because of the bad rep it is getting and because PETA has been urging retailers to remove anything with angora from their shelves. Companies who have removed it are internet store ASOS, Espirit, Lindex, MQ, Topshop, Gina Tricot and H&M. H&M has even reimbursed customers who may feel discomfort knowing the truth about their angora purchases and Stella McCartney herself even claimed the news as “despicable treatment”, claiming she will never use angora again. Hopefully cruel treatment will be rectified and companies will find a more animal friendly manner of going about materials.

H&M Working to Benefit its Workers by Raising Prices

12 December, 2013 All, Fashion, Updates 215 comments

H&M has declared that it will be raising the wages of its workers, which had us raising eyebrows. H&M is well-known for being the go-to place when you want something cute and fashionable, but don’t want to have to empty your bank account for it. Fortunately a rep from H&M stated this week that though pay rates for the companies  workers is increasing does not necessarily mean that the price of the affordable clothing will increase. He also explained there are many factors to the way a business function, the way those factors correlate with one another and this particular factor, as well as my wallet, may remain unaffected. Phew…. Good news, I can still pay my bills even if I binge shop…

Whoever said that fashion is expensive, definitely has never gone to H&M. And when things look like they can´t get any better, in fact, they can. How do we know this? That´s simple. We call it: collaborations.
After Versace, Margiela, and the amazing Anna Dello Russo collection, now it´s time for Isabel Marant to become H&M´s new favorite. The designer´s first men´s collection is ready to hit stands and every guy should go and get in line to get as many pieces as possible. Efortless, relaxed and full of freedom, that´s Marant´s style. For this collaboration, the designer created shirts with interesting cuts, skinny jeans, boots and oversized sweaters. C´mon guys! Wanna be on the best-dressed-men of the month list? Go get some Marant.

Sneak Peak: Gisele Bundchen x H&M

Gisele Bundchen recently took to her Instagram for a sneak peak of her new fall campaign for H&M! Lately, the Swedish retailer has been star studding their campaigns with their most recent summer campaign being Beyoncé in a sexy bikini bod. Up until recent years, campaigns would debut in magazines but more and more campaigns and collections are now being brought to us by social media for the tech savvy generation!

Here’s your peak at shearling vests and cozy knitted whites!

H&M FINALLY Gives U.S. the Luxury To Shop Online

I am probably the biggest online shopping whore that you will ever meet. UPS and Fed-Ex can probably get to my house without a GPS now, sadly. So if you are like me, AND you live in the U.S. you know that H&M never gave U.S. shoppers the opportunity to shop through the web. Talk about first world pains. But no need to worry anymore, because H&M lovers, such as myself, can now be lazy and shop in sweats with an online H&M shopping bag.

Here is a little preview of what you will see once you enter the website and begin your online shopping spree.

Happy shopping!
