Karl Lagerfeld plans on creating a 270-room hotel in Macau, China. With a history of being hired as an interior decorator and, of course, being known for his position as the creative director of Chanel, who wouldn’t want him to design a whole hotel?! The hotel will have a set theme, which Lagerfeld has explained will be, ”kind of 19th-century style, but I want it modern at the same time.”
The hotel is said to be opening in 2017, but everyone is wondering why Karl Lagerfeld would take on such an extensive project when he’s already busy with Fendi and Chanel??? He claims, ”I have more houses than I need, and I don’t want to do any anymore. So I can – how could I say? – get rid of my frustration by doing hotels. You know, Gabrielle Chanel always said, ‘I only make dresses I would wear.’ And I make only rooms where I would like to sleep. It’s as simple as that.”
We just hope every room has an adorable little Karlitos doll in it like the one Cara Delevingne walked down the runway with……
Paris Fashion Week this year was aaaaaaaaamazing. Between the designers, the new collections, the fabulous models and the new trends to look out for, it’s so much to take in. So here’s a list of Paris Fashion Week’s top WOW moments.
Kendall Jenner walked for Chanel in their supermarket themed show, showing that the Keeping up with the Kardashians starlet is more than just a pretty face. This comes as a bit of a shock since Chanel’s designer, Karl Lagerfeld, had some not so nice words to say about the family last year, but it seems Kendall has changed his mind. The tall brunette beauty also graced the Givenchy runway with her, very talked about, bleached eyebrows.
Anna Wintour sat second row at Valentino’s fall 2014 show today which caused a decent amount of buzz. Though some believe it had to do with possible drama, the truth is seating was limited and the talented designer gave up her seat so one of her editors could sit in the front. Talk about a class act.
Cara Delevingne has made yet another BIG impression on the fashion world with her quirky attitude and hilarious personality. While walking down the catwalk at the Stella McCartney show in Paris, Cara decided that for the finale she would ditch the serious model walk and, instead, shimmy/skip her way down instead.

Seems like Jennifer Lawrence has made a new trend for her visits to the Oscars: wearing Dior and, at some point in the show, tripping and falling. Luckily for her, she fell in style wearing a gorgeous red Dior dress and let’s face it, she could trip ten times and we’d all still be in love with her. However, host Ellen DeGeneres wasn’t about to let the fall go without notice, instead she told Lawrence that should she win, to stay in her seat so that someone else can bring her award to her. (Insert laughing emoji here).
Last years fall took place once inside the venue, when Lawrence had been announced as the winner for best actress. Wearing a gorgeous Dior Haute Couture gown, she took a couple steps and immediately fell after tripping on her dress. Once the starlet got to the microphone, she claimed, ”You guys are just standing up because you feel bad that I fell — it’s really embarrassing.”

Miranda Kerr Shows off H&M’s New Line and Posts Selfies Straight from the Paris Fashion Week Runway!
Mid March is bringing with it an amazing new H&M campaign with stunning Aussie model, Miranda Kerr, as its spokesperson. Annex Magazine reported in a post earlier this month that Miranda had been named the official face of H&M’s new collection, but now we have the sneak peek of the fabulous and affordable outfits that you’ll want to make a part of your wardrobe. The outfits have a perfect balance of masculine tailoring and flirty feminine touches that brings a soft touch to an edgy outfit.
Following her split for Orlando Bloom, it seems that she’s been keeping herself busy and happy with her ambassador duties. Wednesday night she appeared at H&M’s fashion week show in Paris, where she even posted a selfie on her Instagram from the front row.
Last night, designer and television star Nick Verreos premiered the latest designs from his NIKOLAKI Collection of Red Carpet Gowns, at an exclusive media event. The event was held at the FIDM Museum, located at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Downtown Los Angeles. Guests arrived and were treated to decadent hors d’oeuvres served in martini glasses and a high-class champagne reception.
Verroes could have showed off his line to the press with a standard press-release email with attached images, and that would have been enough. But we should all know better than to expect “standard” from Nick Verreos by now…
The star of Project Runway’s spinoff series, Under the Gunn, welcomed the press to an entire, full-blown fashion show featuring his designs.
Again, this would have been more than enough for the press. And again, Verreos took his show another step further.
Always pushing the envelop on creativity, Verreos decided to intertwine this event with the upcoming Academy Awards. How so? By spinning an entire award show theme over the night.
To begin with, the event was held at the FIDM Museum, where the “Art of Motion Picture Costume Design” exhibition contains costumes from all the movies with Oscar nominations for Costume Design this year.
Then, the traditional catwalk was replaced with a thematic red carpet, reminiscent of award season.
To top it all off, Verreo, who MC’ed the event, used his new line to illustrate his predictions for what we might see on the Oscar’s red carpet, this sunday night. His trend predictions included backless gowns, grecian goddess dresses, and high-low hemlines. Verreos also said we should keep our eyes open for dramatic slits, bright colors, and shimmering sequins. Each of these trends was represented in the NIKOLAKI gowns he chose to share with us.
Each of his breathtaking gowns was hand-made, down to every bead (and in some cases, Swarovski Chrystal.) Verreos revealed that each gown took about one thousand hours to make, and that only the highest quality of couture-worthy fabrics were used.
Overall, the night truly did encompass many trendy moments and capture the overall spirit of the red carpet season.

Once upon a time, stylists tried to make models just look “pretty,” but, nowadays, the edgier the model the better! We saw some great examples of this at 2014 NYFW, where designers were opting for some seriously stand-out hairstyles on their models! Here, we have just 6 examples of some of the eye-catching hair we saw that week:
1. You can always expect the unexpected when it comes to Betsey Johnson, who chose to send models down her runway this year with half-shaved heads!
2. Another label who famously marches to the beat of their own drum is Disigual. Check out the wild curls sported by their models.
3. Nicholas K sent all his models down the runway in this same odd wig. Bizarre.
4. Each model at the Carmen Marc Valvo show wore their hair in this funny fohawk. Certainly was an unexpected choice.
5. In the futuristic Cute Circuit show, all the models wore this same blond wig with heavy bangs. They didn’t even try to make it look natural. We were just waiting for one to fall off.
6. Angel Sanchez didn’t want any of the models’ hair to distract from his line, so he opted for no hair instead! (Models who weren’t completely buzzed wore their hair totally slicked back.) Pretty crazy stuff…
Uh-oh! Some serious drama has hit the fashion world this week! Looks like Anna Wintour and Giorgio Armani are about to enter the boxing ring and fight it out. In case you haven’t heard, the final show in Milan took place this Monday and Anna Wintour, editor-in-chief for American Vogue and artistic director of Condé Nast, was MIA. The final show’s only well-known, big designer was none other than Giorgio Armani, who did not take the absence well.
In a press conference following the final fashion show, Giorgio had some choice words for Anna. He explained his frustration stating, ”Why should I always be the moron [translating from an Italian expletive] to be penalized because of a person, who, for better or for worse, like or dislike it, is powerful? I feel penalized. She said she was sending her people. But if you go to see your dentist and he puts you in the hands of his assistant, what’s your reaction? They told me, ‘She went to see the [Armani] Prive in Paris; she has no time to see the ready-to-wear in Milan.’ She is influential and powerful. But, perhaps, I’m influential as well.” Anna’s representative at Condé Nast defended Ms. Wintour claiming, ”Anna has the greatest respect for Giorgio Armani and everything he has done for Italy and fashion worldwide. Unfortunately, with the fashion calendar now running for more than a month, there are some shows that Anna is not able to attend.”
Let’s hope they figure things out soon because, let’s face it, boxing gloves aren’t cute on anyone…

This Monday it was announced that the creative directors of Helmut Lang, Nicole and Michael Colovos, would be leaving after an eight year stint with the New York company. Andrew Rosen, CEO of the label, released a statement claiming, “I want to extend my sincere thanks to Michael and Nicole for their commitment to the house and its successful evolution into a leading force in the contemporary marketplace. I am confident in their future and wish them all the best.”
Though the married couple have no replacement as of now, according to Style.com, the company’s in-house team will be working on the 2015 collection that would have previously been a duty of the fashion duo. The decision to leave was without drama and the couple declared their thanks and love for the label, all while saying there are other opportunities they wish to be a part of outside of Helmut Lang.
We wish the dynamic duo good luck on their endeavors, though we doubt they need it.

Milan fashion week proved to be quite a treat, with a little side of controversy (Katy Perry had some choice words). The collections and designers did not fail and have given us a lot to look forward to and a lot of inspiration for outfits. Due to this, we have decided to compile a guide to this years best moments in Milan.
Let’s begin with the most shocking moment of Milan fashion week. At the Moschino fashion show, Rita Ora and Katy Perry were set to appear. However, Katy showed up almost an hour late and the repercussion made headlines. Katy was booed by annoyed fashionistas and photographers alike. She then retaliated with some not so nice words and took her seat.
Fendi had quite a week. A fan favorite, model Cara Delevingne, walked down the runway sporting an odd accessory that had the whole room buzzing. The small plush doll seen in her hand is a mini me of none other than Karl Lagerfeld. The doll is now being called Bag Boy Karlito and is a great statement accessory to have.
Annex reported on this shortly after it took place, for the full article click here.
Dolce & Gabbana:
The floral print was all the talk in the audiences as this ensemble brings a revamped vintage feel to it. Fashion-wise, this look kept people talking long after the collection left the runway.
