H&M’s ‘Healthy Models’ Campaign

As one of the most prominent fast fashion retailers in the world, H&Mmanages to consistently stay on our “nice” lists! After promising to ensure safer work conditions in Bangladesh, the company’s most recent campaign includes a pledge to feature more healthier models.

H&M CEO Karl-Johan Persson told Metro, ”I believe that the models in our advertising should look sound and healthy. There are models who are too thin or obviously underweight, but there are also those who’re just thin, and they’re the ones we should keep working with, as long as they look sound and healthy.”
With Beyoncé’s “no photoshop” rule, she made sure it was enforced for her summer swimsuit editorials for the brand.

“We want to show diversity in our advertising and not give people the impression that girls have to look a particular way. By and large, I think we’ve succeeded: we’ve many different kinds of models from different ethnic backgrounds. In our last campaign we had a somewhat more buxom model, and now we’re using Beyoncé, who’s a bit curvier as well.”

Kudos to H&M for healthier ads and models!

“Rent The Runway” & Dress Like Beyonce

I’m sure everyone has wished they were Beyonce at some point in their life, but correct me if I’m wrong! Anyway, the Queen B has decided to partner with the online website,“Rent the Runway.” The site gives people the opportunity to wear actual designer dresses/gowns for a fraction of the price, by simply renting. The 31 year old fashionista has selected her favorite pieces for her “Beyonce Boutique range,” which will include, sequined dresses, jumpsuits, mini skirts, patterned outfits, and more. “Making women feel confident and beautiful is something I’ve always been passionate about. That’s why joining forces with Rent the Runway was so organic. It’s more than just access to beautiful clothes; it’s about making women look and feel their best.”

This is the perfect site for us fashionistas who love Beyonce’s style, especially because she has personally selected the outfits for the site.

Now does that mean I can call Beyonce my stylist?

Listen: The Great Gatsby Soundtrack

With only two days away from the HIGHLY (and I mean HIGHLY) anticipated premiere of Baz Luhrmann’s The Great Gatsby, we are presented with a full Deluxe soundtrack album from the movie. We previously raved Jay-Z’s scoring and gorgeous preview tunes from the likes Lana Del Rey, Beyonce, and Florence and the Machine – and our wait is finally over! We’re treated with other amazing vocals like The Xx, Gotye, Jack White, and Sia who are all big names to an ensemble of a perfect soundtrack album.

Be sure to check out the rest of the album here! T-minus 2 days till the premiere! EXCITED yet?!

‘Back to Back’ – Beyonce feat. Andre 3000

Here we have the full version of Beyonce and Andre 3000′s cover of Amy Winehouse’s Back To Black, which will appear on the Great Gatsby soundtrack. With this song, the new XX track, and more music promised from a slew of great artists, I’m more excited for the soundtrack than the movie. Listen above.

Bow Down: Beyonce’s World Tour Ensemble Raises Many Eyebrows

Let’s just say that 2013 is the year of Beyonce. I think we can all agree that the 32 year old sensation is proving to be on top of the world with SuperBowl headlines, her 17th Grammy, a highly rated Documentary on HBO, and singing for the president, to name just a few milestones. So when the accomplished pop-diva kicked off her world tour, “Mrs. Carter” in Serbia on Monday night, she came out wearing- well, whatever she wanted (and rightfully so!). The Queen Bey prompted more than just a few raised eyebrows from her gold-sequined leotard, purposely embellished with sparkly golden nipples (unless it was seriously cold in there, but my judgement says that these erects were intentional). Madonna’s infamous Jean-Paul Gaultier cone bra was instantly put to shame. But that’s the kind of effect that Beyonce seems to give us all, and I am A-OK with that. So no hard feelings to our favorite Material Girl! Needless to say, the “Run The World(Girls)” singer got just what she wanted after debuting her world tour- headlines.

Not only did Bey pull out all the stops with her gorgeous costumes but shoe-fanatics (like myself) will love what she’s wearing on her feet!

Footwear designer Stuart Weitzman made “40, 50 shoes” just for the Mrs. Carter tour.

“We made her beautiful jeweled pumps, ankle boot lace-ups with metal trim on them,” he told People magazine. “We made her these boots up to the thigh that have a military influence. Those are the three principal designs, in lots of colors.”

There’s nothing like a Beyonce moment with full on, oozing sex appeal: cue the fishnets, and sky thigh- I mean high- legs! Don’t get it twisted, nipples and all we love her! So bow down haters.

Beyoncé’s H&M Bikini Bod

Just as Beyoncé heads out for her Mrs. Carter Show World Tour today in Serbia, H&M‘s newest campaign featuring the Bey, has us feeling summer again! The 31-year old mom shows off her stunning belly-pierced bikini bod along with gorgeous Bahama scenes. “What makes these [H&M] pieces even more special is that Beyoncé herself had input into the design, and they are full of her own personal style,” said Ann-Sofie Johansson (head of design at H&M).

The pieces will be available at H&M this coming May so don’t miss out on your chance for some Bey approved apparel!

[Video] Kelly Rowland on The Breakfast Club

Kelly Rowland was the next artist to stop by “The World’s Most Dangerous Morning Show,” The Breakfast Club. With her fourth studio album “Talk a Good Game” set to release in the next two months; Charlamagne, Yee and Envy asks if she really does like her kisses down low which Ms. Rowland confesses she can’t go out without a guy unless he fits the description of her last single.

She discusses being in love with the upcoming album being more honest than before and opening up for the first time which Kelly’s having an authentic feeling with the project she plans to release. Currently, she’s doing a video journal similar to Beyoncé’s “Life Is But A Dream” documentary which she might put it out if it comes together right. The interview closes out with the three asking Kelly about a possible Destiny’s Child reunion which she remained quiet on the subject.

A Whole Lot of Beyoncé’s in New Pepsi Commercial

As if her worldwide tour and summer campaign for H&M wasn’t enough, Beyoncé’s new Pepsi commercial, which is part of her 50 million dollar contract with the company, has finally debuted. Titled “Mirrors,” the ad will be released in 70 countries and is projected to reach 1 billion viewers. Lucky enough for the world, this commercial has a whole lot of Beyoncé to go around.

And I mean literally. The commercial takes place in a dance studio where Beyoncé gets confronted by self’s from past iconic music videos—everything from “Crazy Love,” “Single Ladies,” and “Bootylicious.” Queen Bey proves that not only is she a whole lot of woman (yes, that was a Foxy Cleopatra reference), but she’s a whole lot of Beyoncé as well. And while this fun journey down memory lane is occurring, Beyoncé’s latest track “Grown Woman,” plays… definitely giving us a huge teaser for this soon-to-be hit.

The combination of fierce dance moves and a playful concept has us thinking that Pepsi knocked it out of the park. How do you feel about Beyoncé’s newest commercial?

ANOTHER Gatsby Trailer

Gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous. EVERY. SINGLE. FRAME. As the long wait for Baz Luhrmann’s adaptation of The Great Gatsby is almost coming to an end, a new three-minute trailer has recently been released to help us wait a little longer. Throughout the trailer, we’re taken through lavishing parties and Luhrmann’s signature stunning scenes. What really makes the trailer was the awesome score- we heard bits of Beyonce, Lana Del Rey, and Florence and the Machine (thank god for Jay-Z)! Oh and we’re obviously too obsessed with Gatsby fashion!

Check out the trailer. We’ll be waiting for that May 10th release (hopefully)!

Beyoncé’s H&M Summer Campaign

This summer, expect to see a whole lot of Beyoncé for H&M—I’m talking print ads, commercials, billboards, and even some Beyoncé x H&M pieces, which have been described by head designer Ann-Sofie as, “full of her own personal style.” This can only mean ultra sexy looks centered purely on the woman… cause who runs the world? Girls.

According to WWD, the summer collection will include “the perfect body-con dress,” long summer dresses with thigh high slits, high-waist shorts, and sleeveless shirts. And if the shots taken by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin are any indication of Beyoncé’s clothing collaboration, H&M will be sun hot all season long.

In full support of “The Mrs. Carter Show World Tour,” the print ads will be reading “Beyoncé as Mrs. Carter in H&M,” and the commercial, which was shot by Jonas Åkerlund, will be featuring her latest song “Standing on the Sun.” This pretty much solidifies Beyoncé as the Queen Bee of H&M, which will kick off in stores and online in May.

Are you excited for this Beyoncé x H&M collaberation?
