Beyoncé gives us lessons in how to be #flawless as CR Fashion Book’s cover star. The editorial, so very appropriately titled Queen B, was shot by Pierre Debusschere, while Givenchy’s Riccardo Tisci provided guest creative direction. Queen Bey teaches us how to rock a long t-shirt and corset combo while posing in front of a Chanel #surfbort, demonstrates the proper way to sport cat ears while decked out in a Saint Laurent cape and heels, and shows us that in order to pull off a top fashioned out of twisted Comme des Garçons knit sweaters, one must do a plié. Issue No. 5 of CR Fashion Book hits newsstands September 4, which also happens to be Queen Bey’s birthday.

What can’t Beyonce do? This year, Queen B will be performing at the MTV Video Music Awards. Not only is Beyonce is up for 8 awards, she will also be receiving the esteemed Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award. Previous winners of the award have been Madonna, U2, George Michael, and Janet Jackson, and Beastie Boys. Usher, 5SOS, and Ariana Grande will also be performing this night. The awards will be on August 24th. This is sure to be a night you cannot miss!
It’s no question that Queen B loves surprises. In addition to her self-titled album, Queen B and her man JAY Z release another tour trailer, titled “On the Run,” to promote their September 12-13 shows in Paris. It has the same fast-paced, action packed clips that we loved in the first trailer, but it focuses more on the two. After all, who doesn’t love seeing this power couple in action?
Here is the “On the run” trailer
Here is the first trailer, “RUN”
Jay Z and Beyonce are in the news again, but this time it’s positive news. The dynamic duo have released a spoof trailer for a movie entitled Run which includes actors such as Rashida Jones, Blake Lively, Kidada Jones, Jake Gyllenhaal, Emmy Rossum, Don Cheadle, Sean Penn and Guillermo Diaz. The new song by Jay Z and Beyonce, Part II (On The Run) is the reason for the video and has over three million views so far.
We’ve all heard Beyonce’s sexy hit, Drunk in Love. You know that line where she sings, “On my surfboard, surfboard–gonna ride it, surfboard…”? Oh, wait, that’s not Beyonce–that’s Cody Simpson. The Drunk in Love line goes, “Ride it with my surfboard, surfboard, surfboard…”–No wonder we got confused!!
Not long after Beyonce released Drunk in Love ft. Jay Z, Simpson came out with his new single, Surfboard. Could the similarities between the songs get Simpson into choppy water with Queen B.? The 17-year-old pop star claims to have had the song (which sounds seriously similar to Beyonce’s hit) recorded before Beyonce even released Drunk in Love. In an interview with MTV, Simpson explained that he “had the idea [to do a song about surfing] for a long time.” He said his love for surfing and girlfriend Gigi Hadad–not Beyonce–were his inspirations for the song.
So you be the judge: Did Cody Simpson try and rip off the all-powerful Beyonce? Or has this “surfboard switch-up” just been a coincidence?
He helped her with her album, now she is offering her lovely vocals for his last track. A few weeks ago Producer BOOTS announced his new project titled WinterSpringSummerFall with which he included a picture of the track list. Aside the name of the last track it read (feat. B******). We had suspicions that it might be the one and only Beyonce and our instincts did not lead us astray. The Beyonce and Boots collaboration is one that we are all thankful for. After the release of Beyonce’s visual album, curiosity about the identity of the name that appeared all over the credits remained. BOOTS latest mixtape will feature the song “Dreams” as its last track. Take a listen to BOOT’s new song “Dreams.”

Terry Richardson is being accused, yet again, of inappropriate and unprofessional behavior. Earlier in the week, an anonymous post to Reddit explained the details of an odd encounter when a nude photo shoot went wrong. According to the anonymous poster, who has since come forward as 24-year-old Charlotte Waters, the shoot went downhill fast when Richardson licked her, touched her and even ejaculated on her all in the presence of another woman who simply stood and watched the entire time. Waters tells of her reasoning for coming forward about the incident when she saw others posting about the same things, but in a more vague manner. She explains “I was like: ‘I know exactly what these people are talking about!’ But the articles were all very vague and about rumors, so I wanted to say, ‘Hey, I’ve experienced this first hand. These aren’t just rumors.’”
The model has since explained that she definitely was hesitant to come forward, as many victims of sexual assault usually are, due to nerves and embarrassment, but wanted Richardson to be called out on his actions instead of continuing with more victims. Waters also chose to take the case to the police, as well as, speaking out on Vocativ.com about the situation. This revelation of Richarson’s behavior has striked many as appalling and surprising, especially considering Richardson has worked with the likes of Miley Cyrus, Beyonce, Lea Michele, Kate Moss and Lindsay Lohan, to name a few of his past models. Charlotte Waters explains, “I don’t put any blame on the celebrities that have been photographed by him because they have no way of knowing the truth. Until people expose what’s he’s really like, how are his clients going to know?”
Looks like its time for Terry Richardson, and his camera, to be locked away.

Beyonce’s new video, XO, has sparked quite a bit of controversy due to the fact that it contains recordings from the 1986 Challenger space shuttle occurrence in Florida. As we known the event ended in a tragic explosion only minutes after taking off, killing all seven members on board. This is precisely why people are unsure if Beyonce means her song as a tribute to the unfortunate event and its victims or if she’s using it to further views on her Youtube video that takes place in a theme park.
In response to the controversy, Beyonce told ABC Monday morning: ”My heart goes out to the families of those lost in the Challenger disaster. The song ‘XO’ was recorded with the sincerest intention to help heal those who have lost loved ones and to remind us that unexpected things happen, so love and appreciate every minute that you have with those who mean the most to you.”
The verdict: looks like the Queen’s intentions are only pure, and this video is simply in remembrance that life is unexpected so live it while its here.
