She really does shine bright like a diamond! In over 20 years Rihanna is the first artist to score 10 #1 hits as Stay (ft Mikky Ekko) rised from 2 to 1. Her first #1 song, SOS came from 2006 when she was just the pop singer from Barbados, now with her song “We Found Love” ft Calvin Harris stayed #1 from 8 consecutive weeks, there’s no surprise she’s the first one to break the record in 20 years.
On top of all that Rihanna is nominated for 10 Billboard awards! The show will air May 19th 8/7 c.
As Spring break is upon us and the movie Spring Breakers is here to motivate us to be in accomplice with a drug dealer named Alien, Opening Ceremony is going on a different approach. A collection that is inspired by each of the main characters of Spring Breakers is here! Even though I found that the attire in the movie was so called “slutty” or “trashy” it’s still a fun collection to look at!
All five of the main characters have their own specific symbol to represent them in the clothing line: a glow-in-the-dark alien (Alien), a pair of green dolphins (Brit), a pink marijuana leaf (Candy), hot pink dripping ice cream cones (Cotty), and an inverted purple cross (Faith) that are printed on sweatshirts, jerseys, bikinis, beach towels, and bandannas, priced from $20 to $90. There are also “HARMONY” and “SPRING BREAK 4EVER BITCHES” bracelets. The full collection hits Opening Ceremony stores in New York and Los Angeles and the Internet March 22.
So if you’re thinking of a way to start of your Spring Break, maybe this collection will do the trick.
Spring break forever bitches!
Ever since there has been talk about making a film out of the steamy trilogy “50 Shades Of Grey,” fans have been dying to know who would play the scandalous role of Christian Grey.
Christian Grey is described as a tall, muscular, mysterious, and handsome business man with copper hair and dreamy grey eyes. Not only that, but he is only 27 years old and is extremely wealthy. By that description, fans have been dying for Ryan Gosling to play the sexy entrepreneur, and I agree. Gosling has always had that cool, calm, and collected vibe about him, and so does Mr. Grey. How perfect would he be for this role? I mean look at him. If it were up to me, the role would have been handed to him the day the book was published.
Now for the role of Anastasia Steele. Her character is described as a “pale, brown-haired, T-shirt, and converse” kind of girl. Kind of reminds me of Kendrick’s character in “Pitch Perfect.” So anyone say Anna Kendrick for the role? By the looks of her twitter, we all know she would want nothing more than to play opposite of Gosling:
“Ugh – NEVER going to a Ryan Gosling movie in a theater again. Apparently masturbating in the back row is still considered ‘inappropriate.’” (@AnnaKendrick47)
I think these two would make lovely co-stars and perfect contenders for the two characters.
Anyone else have their picks for the highly anticipated film?
After his first few appearances on Saturday Night Live, Justin’s hilarious comedic style comes back to life this Saturday, as he will not only be performing comedic skits, but also, performing his hit single “Suit & Tie”. The promotional video for the show, demonstrates his knack for comedy. Who knew Justin was that funny! This weekend’s show will mark his entry to “The Five-Timers Club” — the exclusive club for those whom have hosted SNL at least five times.
After their success with their R&B musical duo “Dick in a Box” and “Motherlover”, it is definitely that JT will perform another hilarious duet. What do you think they will do next?
We can’t wait to see what JT has in store for us!
Karl Lagerfeld isn’t the only one going futuristic. Made specifically for the burlesque beauty by designer Michael Schmidt, Dita Von Teese modeled the first ever 3D-dress at the Ace Hotel in NYC this Monday.
Having designed for mega stars Lady Gaga, Madonna, and Rihanna, it should come as no surprise that Schmidt would create such an idiosyncratic design. Working with architect (yes, we said architect) Francis Bitonti, Schmidt used digitally rendered technology mixed with a fabric-like material called powered nylon (thanks to the help of 3D printing company Shapeways) to create its 3D appearance. Oh… and as is if making history wasn’t enough, the dress was then finished with black coloring and topped off with 12,000 black Swarovski crystals.
