Sneakerheads united and were quickly turned away this morning in New York City, after things got a little out of foot. Nike x Supreme recently announced the launch of their new shoe Foamposite. The shoe was first released in the late 1990s and has caught attention all around the world! Foamposites has become a collectors item. Fanatics, eager to get their hands on the $250 pair, camped outside the Supreme Store days before the release. Supreme has been known to cause a ruckus with their collaborations and morning releases. With the throng of people, NYPD was forced to move people out of the area due to safety concerns and potential riots. The lines were as long as a couple city blocks and the police couldn’t control the crowd. Due to the massive amounts of people and violence, Supreme was forced to cancel release and only sell them on their website.
Seems like Jennifer Lawrence has made a new trend for her visits to the Oscars: wearing Dior and, at some point in the show, tripping and falling. Luckily for her, she fell in style wearing a gorgeous red Dior dress and let’s face it, she could trip ten times and we’d all still be in love with her. However, host Ellen DeGeneres wasn’t about to let the fall go without notice, instead she told Lawrence that should she win, to stay in her seat so that someone else can bring her award to her. (Insert laughing emoji here).
Last years fall took place once inside the venue, when Lawrence had been announced as the winner for best actress. Wearing a gorgeous Dior Haute Couture gown, she took a couple steps and immediately fell after tripping on her dress. Once the starlet got to the microphone, she claimed, ”You guys are just standing up because you feel bad that I fell — it’s really embarrassing.”

Throwback Thursday to the days of Laguna Beach being the “it-show”, all of us drooling over Talon and Stephen, and wanting to be just like “LC” and Kristin (but not having their drama, of course). Flash forward to today and it seems the only one to come out of the hit show with a big amount of success is the Laguna Beach sweetheart, Lauren Conrad. She has since created her own blog, which has had immense success, gone to fashion school, wrote a few books, began her own clothing line and her most recent news; getting engaged to USC alumni William Tell. The two became engaged after about a year and a half of dating, but Conrad’s friends admit they knew the two were destined to be together from the start. (Awwwww.)
William Tell is a SoCal boy who keeps to himself, has a good sense of humor and seems to set himself aside from Conrad’s previous limelight loving playboy exes. Tell also has musical background, having released a few albums, one of his singles is even on the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants movie soundtrack. The seemingly perfect couple used photographer Elizabeth Messina which Conrad says, “Came to our home to photograph us in our element, I love how the photos turned out!”
Now we’re just waiting for the big day, which Lauren states she is sooooo excited for. We can’t wait to see this classy beauty on her big day.
H&M has declared that it will be raising the wages of its workers, which had us raising eyebrows. H&M is well-known for being the go-to place when you want something cute and fashionable, but don’t want to have to empty your bank account for it. Fortunately a rep from H&M stated this week that though pay rates for the companies workers is increasing does not necessarily mean that the price of the affordable clothing will increase. He also explained there are many factors to the way a business function, the way those factors correlate with one another and this particular factor, as well as my wallet, may remain unaffected. Phew…. Good news, I can still pay my bills even if I binge shop…

Hot, sexy, stunning are all words that severely underrate how Victoria’s Secret models looked on the TV event that aired yesterday night. The models were paired with the singing styles of Taylor Swift, who rocked an amazing bunch of outfits (one of which was a look-alike of a huge British flag). The singer even had a “moment” with Cara Delivingne, giving her a tap on the butt while she strut her stuff down the runway. Wonder how Harry Styles feels about that…. Anyway, ladies, we have a year to try and get our bodies to tip top VS shape until the next airing of the 2014 fashion show. Maybe then the models will let us raid the closet that holds all these stunning outfits.

With the arrival of the Phillip Lim’s collection, Target is also announcing the exciting arrival of Peter Pilotto’s Target collection. Pilotto’s ensembles include some very chic cropped tees, stylish pencil skirts, fashionable rompers and drop-waist skirts that will make a nice addition to our closets (add that to your Christmas list, wink, wink). Models showed off the collection with its patterned style and according to Pilotto and his co-director, Christopher De Vos, the collaboration was just what they were looking for. Their past work has been far more couture and upscale, but this new collection caters more to an all-encompassing demographic. Which is good news for us (and our wallets)!
