With the arrival of the Phillip Lim’s collection, Target is also announcing the exciting arrival of Peter Pilotto’s Target collection. Pilotto’s ensembles include some very chic cropped tees, stylish pencil skirts, fashionable rompers and drop-waist skirts that will make a nice addition to our closets (add that to your Christmas list, wink, wink). Models showed off the collection with its patterned style and according to Pilotto and his co-director, Christopher De Vos, the collaboration was just what they were looking for. Their past work has been far more couture and upscale, but this new collection caters more to an all-encompassing demographic. Which is good news for us (and our wallets)!

Pantone has officially declared the color of the year for 2014: Radiant Orchid. This poppy, refreshing color is a mixture of various light pinks and purples created to make the hit color of the year, ruling both the runway and our nail polish color alike. Radiant Orchid can be found anywhere, from flowers at Lowe’s, to Sephora’s nail aisle, to Juicy Couture fashion. Who runs the world? Well move aside Beyonce, apparently Radiant Orchid does.

Miley Cyrus has been in the media’s spotlight all year long, with her transformation from cute Disney star to edgy pop star. Along the way there have been some shocking outfits and some that make our jaws drop (for good reasons). Thanks to her versatile wardrobe, she has landed on TIME’s worst dressed title and a best dressed title. The two awards come from both her infamous VMA latex outfit, as well as the gorgeous Marc Jacobs glitter green gown she wore at the Fashion Group International’s Night of Stars. Here’s a recap of the outfits that have us all talking.

Winter is here and we finally get to bring out our (California-ized) winter wardrobe. But what makes me excited is to pair these stylish outfits with equally stunning winter-style make up. This season we are seeing a lot of dark colors, deep reds, dark purples, and our personal favorite: black. Be daring this winter!

Okay, really? This just isn’t fair… Two incredibly gorgeous people fall in love, get married, have equally gorgeous babies and on top of it all are gracing the cover of Vogue?!?! It’s too much… However, the couple are featured in Vogue among interviews about their life, relationship as well as Victoria’s favorite beauty secrets. The issue will also have exclusive family pictures you won’t get to see anywhere else, and I’m sure they all nail that “David Backham smolder” in all their family portraits.
Best gene pool ever? I think so….

Last night the 41st American Music Awards took place in Los Angeles and the big winners for the night were definitely tied between Taylor Swift and Justin Timberlake, with One Direction coming in close behind them. Though the music and performances were top notch, Ariana Grande received standing ovations for hers, the outfits are what we truly want to see. Here are a few looks of the night that caught our eye, for better or for worse.
T-Swift is rocking this Julien Macdonald mini, which had jaws dropping all night. A sexier dress for the AMA’s is a fun, good way to get attention. Wonder if Harry Styles was wishing they were still an item….
Christina Aguilera stunned in this tight-fitting Maria Lucia Hohan gown. In past years she’s been criticized for being a bit heavier during AMA season, but this year she’s looking fit and amazingly sexy.
Lady Gaga WOWed in this Versace gown and her white stallion paired quite nicely. Gaga always does know how to make an entrance.
Miley Cyrus wore a Versus Versace white suit, which is far more tame that we we’ve seen her wearing lately… Or not wearing, I should say. This suit was chic and sexy, though it could have been tailored better to her small frame.
Katy Perry looked gorgeous in this Oscar de la Renta gown. It was stylish and classy yet added a little bit fun with white spots dispersed throughout the dress.
Ke$ha was on the edge of the list. With a more tame look, we can appreciate her trying to find her classy side, but the two-toned hair makes it difficult to truly appreciate the Michael Costello masterpiece. If the hair was better styled (preferably in one color) and her make up made her look a bit more alive, it could have been one of the best looks of the night.
Heidi Klum is quite possibly one of the sexiest women alive, but this Marchesa fringe dress just didn’t do it for us. It was a bit overwhelming and not in a good way. The long earrings, fringe, the embellishment in black and gold, the seemingly random pieces hanging from the straps just makes it a bit much to take, lucky for Heidi, she could wear a trash bag and she’d still be hot.
Kelly Osborne was named one of the worst dressed of the night, despite her usual savvy fashion knowledge as a Fashion Police member . Somehow this dress just didn’t read on the carpet and on camera how she thought it would, Kelly even tweeted: “:( my dress did not photograph anywhere near as good as it looked in real life!” Adding gold spikes to her hairdo further confused whether she was going more for the classic Hollywood style or an edgier look. Next time Kelly, next time…

The iconic pink outfit worn by Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis still remains one of the most well known outfits that helped pave the way for classic fashion trends. Yesterday marked the 50-year anniversary of the assassination of John F. Kennedy, in which Jackie sported the infamous pink ensemble. That historic outfit now sits in the National Archives and rumor has it the late Mrs. Kennedy herself requested it not be shown for another hundred years in order for the dress to not become a spectacle. Though we’ll never get to see the dress that has so shaken the fashion industry, pictures will have to do.

The designer, whose unique fashion took over in the 1980′s, has declared she is moving on from her brand. Demeulemeester claims the time has come for her to do new things with both her personal life and fashion as well, all while knowing her brand will continue its legacy without her. That being said, many things remain unanswered such as what exactly she plans on doing or who is to manage her label in her absence. Regardless, we wish her the best and thank her for making such an impact on the fashion world.
