Throwback Thursday to the days of Laguna Beach being the “it-show”, all of us drooling over Talon and Stephen, and wanting to be just like “LC” and Kristin (but not having their drama, of course). Flash forward to today and it seems the only one to come out of the hit show with a big amount of success is the Laguna Beach sweetheart, Lauren Conrad. She has since created her own blog, which has had immense success, gone to fashion school, wrote a few books, began her own clothing line and her most recent news; getting engaged to USC alumni William Tell. The two became engaged after about a year and a half of dating, but Conrad’s friends admit they knew the two were destined to be together from the start. (Awwwww.)
William Tell is a SoCal boy who keeps to himself, has a good sense of humor and seems to set himself aside from Conrad’s previous limelight loving playboy exes. Tell also has musical background, having released a few albums, one of his singles is even on the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants movie soundtrack. The seemingly perfect couple used photographer Elizabeth Messina which Conrad says, “Came to our home to photograph us in our element, I love how the photos turned out!”
Now we’re just waiting for the big day, which Lauren states she is sooooo excited for. We can’t wait to see this classy beauty on her big day.
Surprise, surprise, Kate Moss is the new face of Alexander McQeen. This is the first time the supermodel has fronted a campaign for the brand, and honestly, we are so glad this hauntingly beautiful campaign happened. In addition to the breathtaking photos, she also stars in a futuristic film, which was inspired by Sixties British cult thriller, Peeping Tom.
This short film is seen through the eyes of this unknown voyeur who follows Moss through these darkened streets. He holds a replica doll version of the model as she takes us on this seat thrilling journey. She enters a desolate building as she begins to remove her clothes. It’s as sinister as you could possibly imagine.
The campaign was shot by Steven Klein in East London.
A collection outfitted for the “everyone” clique is finally here. Whether you’re feeling preppy or are reminiscing on past friday night football games, there are knit shift dresses paired with oxfords and varsity jacket inspired sweaters to satisfy your needs. For the first time ever, the skater/surfer induced brand, RVCA, is releasing a collaboration with model Ashley Smith. Smith is a model that takes on different faces, so it is no surprise that her collection takes on the same approach that ranges from frilly socks to punk two piece sets with chokers. Still with the diversity, every item looks like it could come from the same closet. So don’t leave your wardrobe lacking and browse the collection set to release January 23.
Beyonce’s new video, XO, has sparked quite a bit of controversy due to the fact that it contains recordings from the 1986 Challenger space shuttle occurrence in Florida. As we known the event ended in a tragic explosion only minutes after taking off, killing all seven members on board. This is precisely why people are unsure if Beyonce means her song as a tribute to the unfortunate event and its victims or if she’s using it to further views on her Youtube video that takes place in a theme park.
In response to the controversy, Beyonce told ABC Monday morning: ”My heart goes out to the families of those lost in the Challenger disaster. The song ‘XO’ was recorded with the sincerest intention to help heal those who have lost loved ones and to remind us that unexpected things happen, so love and appreciate every minute that you have with those who mean the most to you.”
The verdict: looks like the Queen’s intentions are only pure, and this video is simply in remembrance that life is unexpected so live it while its here.

Beyonce surprised us by releasing her self-titled album at midnight on iTunes. Suffice to say we’re spending all day today listening to the Queen. AND in addition to releasing 14 brand new tracks, the album contains 17 music videos to watch over and over to our heart’s content. Her ‘Pretty Hurts’ video has created the most chatter because in it she takes diet pills and portrays the feeling of not being enough in the industry. Beyonce is incredibly passionate about her art, so the videos portray her love for it even further, she explains this and spoke to fans through a Facebook video saying: “It’s more than just what I hear,” she said. “When I’m connected to something, I immediately see a visual or a series of images that are tied to a feeling or an emotion, a memory from my childhood, thoughts about life, my dreams or my fantasies. And they’re all connected to the music.”
With the arrival of the Phillip Lim’s collection, Target is also announcing the exciting arrival of Peter Pilotto’s Target collection. Pilotto’s ensembles include some very chic cropped tees, stylish pencil skirts, fashionable rompers and drop-waist skirts that will make a nice addition to our closets (add that to your Christmas list, wink, wink). Models showed off the collection with its patterned style and according to Pilotto and his co-director, Christopher De Vos, the collaboration was just what they were looking for. Their past work has been far more couture and upscale, but this new collection caters more to an all-encompassing demographic. Which is good news for us (and our wallets)!

Pantone has officially declared the color of the year for 2014: Radiant Orchid. This poppy, refreshing color is a mixture of various light pinks and purples created to make the hit color of the year, ruling both the runway and our nail polish color alike. Radiant Orchid can be found anywhere, from flowers at Lowe’s, to Sephora’s nail aisle, to Juicy Couture fashion. Who runs the world? Well move aside Beyonce, apparently Radiant Orchid does.

Miley Cyrus has been in the media’s spotlight all year long, with her transformation from cute Disney star to edgy pop star. Along the way there have been some shocking outfits and some that make our jaws drop (for good reasons). Thanks to her versatile wardrobe, she has landed on TIME’s worst dressed title and a best dressed title. The two awards come from both her infamous VMA latex outfit, as well as the gorgeous Marc Jacobs glitter green gown she wore at the Fashion Group International’s Night of Stars. Here’s a recap of the outfits that have us all talking.

Winter is here and we finally get to bring out our (California-ized) winter wardrobe. But what makes me excited is to pair these stylish outfits with equally stunning winter-style make up. This season we are seeing a lot of dark colors, deep reds, dark purples, and our personal favorite: black. Be daring this winter!

Okay, really? This just isn’t fair… Two incredibly gorgeous people fall in love, get married, have equally gorgeous babies and on top of it all are gracing the cover of Vogue?!?! It’s too much… However, the couple are featured in Vogue among interviews about their life, relationship as well as Victoria’s favorite beauty secrets. The issue will also have exclusive family pictures you won’t get to see anywhere else, and I’m sure they all nail that “David Backham smolder” in all their family portraits.
Best gene pool ever? I think so….
